Motiva Preservé Breast Augmentation

What Is Motiva Preservé?

Motiva Preservé is also called Preserve Breast Augmentation™, and is a new, innovative, less invasive breast enhancement method that focuses on protecting the breast from unnecessary trauma. Instead of cutting through tissue, this method carefully creates the space needed for the implant while keeping the nerves and natural tissue structures intact.

This gentler technique can enhance your breast size and shape while keeping them looking, feeling, and moving like natural breast tissue. The Motiva Preserve technique is used to place mini, demi, or full Motiva ergonomix implants which have a patented SmoothSilk surface that is designed to have a roughness of only 4 microns, compared with other implants that run between 10 and 300 microns in roughness.

How the Motiva Preservé Technique Works

The Motiva Preservé procedure uses a series of steps that are carefully performed to limit tissue damage and offer faster healing.

1

Careful Measurements

Dr. Min will take precise measurements to ensure the procedure and implants are completely customized to fit your exact anatomy.

2

Numbing

The breast area will be numbed, so you will be comfortable during the entire procedure.

3

Incision

Dr. Min will carefully make a small incision in the natural crease (inframammary fold) located right under your breast, which will help hide any visible scarring.

4

Preparing the tissue

The Motiva Preservé procedure does not involve cutting through your breast tissue, but instead a special tool called the Motiva Channel Separator is used to create a tunnel that will be used to place your breast implant.

5

Making room

Next, Dr. Min will use the Motiva inflatable balloon tool to gently and carefully push your natural breast tissue aside to make just enough space to place your Motiva Ergonomix implant. The expansion is done slowly so your breast tissue can adjust without sudden stretching or causing damage.

6

Placing the implant

The Motiva implant is placed into the newly created space without losing any functionality of your natural breast tissue, including your chest muscles and nipple sensitivity.

7

Closing and Healing

Dr. Min will carefully close the incision to ensure it heals properly and with minimal scarring. Your recovery will be much faster and go much more smoothly because less breast tissue is disturbed during the insertion of the implant. The Motiva Preservé technique helps you recover faster with minimal swelling, bruising, and discomfort.

About Motiva Breast Implants

Motiva Ergonomix implants are a special type of breast implant that are made to feel and move in a very natural way and are designed to be used with the Motiva Preservé procedure.

They are filled with a soft, smooth silicone gel that shifts gently with the movement of your body. Their shape and consistency are light-years ahead of older designs and help them stay smooth and adapt to your posture so they look natural as you sit, stand, walk, etc.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Motiva Preservé?

This technique is done in a gentler, less invasive way and offers subtle, natural-looking enhancements with minimal downtime, but cannot deliver dramatic increases in size. The Motiva Preservé procedure may be a good choice for you if:

  • You would prefer a less invasive surgical option.
  • You would rather avoid general anesthesia.
  • You desire smaller scars and shorter recovery time.
  • You would like to preserve nipple and skin sensation.
  • You are in good overall health and your expectations are realistic.

Benefits of the Preservé Technique

Natural-Looking and Feeling Breasts

Breasts look, and feel and move more like natural breast tissue.

Small Incisions and Minimal Scarring

Smaller, well-placed incisions create scars that are well hidden and harder to see.

Lower Risk of Issues

Research data reports very low complication rates with the risk of capsular contracture and rupture at less than 1%.

Careful Implant Placement

Specially designed tools are used to preserve the natural tissue and structure of your breast when implants are placed.

Breast Tissue Is Carefully Expanded

Breast tissue is gradually expanded to help the breast adjust slowly and preserve the tissues that will hold the implant in place.

Reduced Breast Trauma

Motiva Preservé gently prepares the breast and places implants, which means less swelling, bruising, or nerve damage, which helps maintain sensation in your skin and nipple.

Alternate Sedation Options

The preparation and placement is gentler, so you may be able to use light sedation instead of full anesthesia, which lowers the risks and can make recovery easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are Motiva implants not FDA approved?

Actually, Motiva implants are FDA approved and were granted approval in the United States in September 2024. Prior to that time, they had been approved in over 80 other countries and had been used for several years.

Are Motiva implants better than silicone?

Motiva implants are silicone implants, so there is not really a choice between Motiva and silicone. Motiva is a newer type of silicone implant that was designed to improve upon older silicone implant designs. They are made to move more naturally with your body and to feel softer and more natural. They also have a lower risk profile and safety features built-in that help surgeons confirm the implant is intact, and they can be easily identified in the future if needed.

Can all Motiva implants be used with the Preserve Breast Augmentation™ procedure?

No, while Motiva breast implant reviews for Motiva round implants and Motiva teardrop implants are positive and gaining in popularity, only Motiva Ergonomix implants can be used with this newer, less invasive procedure. Speak to the knowledgeable team at Newvue Plastic Surgery to find out which implants would be best for your needs and circumstances.

Are Motiva implants more expensive?

Yes, Motiva implants usually cost more than traditional silicone implants and are considered a premium option because they include newer technology that improves comfort, safety, and how natural your breasts look and feel. You can expect to pay about 15 to 20 percent more for Motiva implants over traditional silicone implants, but many women feel the safety record and natural-looking results make the investment worthwhile.

Where can I find the Motiva Preservé procedure and Motiva breast implants?

Dr. Min is the first to be trained and commercially offer the minimally invasive Preservé breast augmentation in the Pacific Northwest. Preservé is now available at Newvue Medical (Seattle, WA). Set up a consultation today to learn more!

Can all Motiva implant sizes be used with the Preservé technique?

No. Not all available Motiva Ergonomix implant sizes can be used with the Preservé technique. Motiva Ergonomix implant profiles (Mini, Demi, and Full) can be used with Preservé, but this less-invasive procedure is designed to be used with smaller implant sizes, which usually range from between 150 cc and 315 cc.
