What is RF Microneedling?

Seattle RF Microneedling involves applying sterile needles that release radiofrequency waves into the dermis layer of skin. The fine needle creates microscopic channels in the skin, stimulating collagen production. The energy released by the needle helps to remodel collagen and elastin, which tightens and lifts the skin. RF, or radiofrequency, is an additive that enhances the effects of standard microneedling.

This procedure targets several skin impurities, including fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, large pores, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, loose skin, cellulite, and hyperhidrosis. It can be used on all skin tones.

What to Expect After Your Treatment

When you leave your appointment, your skin may look flushed and feel like a mild to moderate sunburn. You can expect redness and swelling for a few days after your treatment, and mild discomfort is normal. Then, your skin may begin to flake, peel, or feel dry and tight. Typically, your skin should look healed within a week, and you will begin to notice skin tone and texture improvement. However, healing below the surface will continue happening for months.

Taking care of your skin after your Seattle RF microneedling is crucial to maximize the benefits. Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser twice a day, followed by a non-comedogenic moisturizer with SPF. Do not apply makeup for 24-48 hours, and avoid harsh products, including retinoids, acids and exfoliants, for one week. Try not to pick or scratch the treated area. You can apply ice packs to reduce swelling and discomfort. At night, elevate your head slightly and use a clean pillowcase.
